I recently signed up for benefits via the online system, as an employee of Zendesk.com. I want to be absolutely sure that there are no confidentiality breeches such as disclosing my Social Security number to my chosen insurance provider. That information should only be disclosed in cases where there's legal relevance to e.g. the IRS. But I have unfortunately been the victim several times of careless handling of this information.
I just need your assurance that no such confidential information will be unnecessarily disclosed (i.e. with no legal requirement).

This issue was marked resolved on 2009.12.15, with a response saying, among other things, "TriNet will not provide your individually identifiable information to third-party providers or other commercial parties for commercial use except as permitted by you."
